Biography

Aulia Khamas Heikhmakhtiar was born in Bandung on May 5th, 1991, and grew up in Bekasi, West Java. He went to Islamic integrated education for his elementary and junior high school. Then, he went to public high school “SMA 3 Kota Bekasi” in 2006. His interest in computer programming made him sign up for undergraduate school in Computing faculty at President University, Cikarang, Bekasi in 2009. After He completed the Bachelor of Science degree in 2013, he went to South Korea in 2014 to attend graduate school at Kumoh National Institute of Technology in Gumi, pursuing his Master’s and Ph.D. degree. He finished his Ph.D. in 2020 which made him completed his Ph.D. degree only for three and a half years. The graduate school he has taken was a research-oriented program. Whilst study, he was a member of the Computational Medicine Laboratory for five and a half years.

His research interest is cardiac electrophysiology by using numerical methods or computational simulations. He has published papers related to arrhythmia or electrical disturbance in the heart muscle along with the electromechanical delay in the myocytes. Until now he has published five articles for international conferences and eight research articles in some international journals. Currently, he is a part-time lecturer at Telkom University and a member of the research center of human-centric engineering HUMiC. He is hoping that by joining HUMiC, he could explore more in the field of telemedicine and contribute to society.
